VSA Secures Grant For Mawson Lakes Beach Volleyball Upgrades

Our People Fun and Social CompetitiveVolleyball South Australia (VSA) is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a $75,000 Minor Capital Works Grant by the City of Salisbury to enhance the Mawson Lakes Volleyball Facility. This investment will elevate the venue’s infrastructure, creating a more inviting and functional space for participants and visitors.
The funding will enable the installation of a new shade structure and a secure perimeter fence, ensuring a significantly enhanced experience for all participants and visitors. These upgrades reinforce VSA’s ongoing commitment to promoting volleyball participation across South Australia.
Mawson Lakes Beach is an inland beach volleyball venue, providing a dedicated space in Adelaide’s northern suburbs to enjoy the sport. This upgrade will allow the venue to host social games, training, and competitions with a better experience.
VSA CEO, Karla Della Pietra, expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating:
"A big thank you to the City of Salisbury for their generous funding approval for upgrades to the Mawson Lakes Beach Volleyball venue! Since establishment, this site has been a key hub for activity in the northern suburbs, with great potential for further growth. We're excited to enhance safety and comfort for our community by adding shading throughout the facility, allowing participants and visitors to stay longer and enjoy the venue, even on warmer days"
