Emerging Talent Hubs

The Emerging Talent Hubs (ETH) are the entry point into the Volleyball South Australia (VSA) Performance Pathway. These hubs emphasise individual skill development, combining fundamental movement with volleyball-specific techniques and strategies. By stepping out of the traditional team environment, athletes can focus on their personal goals and progress towards becoming confident in every aspect of the game. This program complements school, club, and state squad activities, encouraging and supporting athletes to excel across all opportunities.

Program Leadership

The Emerging Talent Program is designed and led by Kelly Lean, Pathways Coach and Head Coach of the Under 18 National Team. Kelly brings a wealth of experience as a former captain of the Australian Volleyroos. She will divide her time across all hubs, sharing her expertise, conducting talent identification, and helping to foster the growth of young athletes.

Who Can Participate?

The Emerging Talent Hubs are open to all male and female athletes aged 8 to 18.

How to Get Involved

Registrations are now open for the 2025 Emerging Talent Hub cycle. Trials will run from 28th January to 8th February 2025, and registrations will remain open until the day before trials commence.

Claim Up to $200 with the 2025 Sports Vouchers

All students from Reception to Year 9 are eligible for Sports Vouchers, which can provide up to $200 in funding.

2024 Emerging Talent HubS Highlights

The 2024 cycle saw a record-breaking number of athlete advancements. In total there were 193 Emerging Talent Hub Athletes, 35 athletes were elevated to Tier 4 and Tier 3 after the 2024/25 Performance Pathway Trials, and 10 athletes were selected for Team SA.

The Emerging Talent Hubs continue to develop the next generation of volleyball stars in South Australia.
