SA Volleyball League: Fixtures and Themed Rounds Released!

Whilst it might feel like we just wrapped up the 2022 SA Volleyball League season, the 2023 season is already upon us!

Excitement is certainly in the air for our SA volleyball community, with Round 1 of the 2023 SA Volleyball League already wrapped up, and Round 2 on the horizon.

Round 1 featured a number of exciting match-ups, with all teams ready to battle it out and make their mark on the competition from the beginning.

This season, will see 79 teams competing across 15 rounds of regular competition, and a 3 round finals series played from April, all the way through until the end of July.

We also welcome a brand new affiliate, the Playford Patriots and we can’t wait to see them continue to grow their numbers and reach.

Volleyball SA are pleased to announce that this year, we will be including 3 themed rounds, which all clubs and spectators are encouraged to get involved in. The themed rounds include:

May 27th, Round 8 - Breakthrough Mental Health Round

June 24th, Round 13 - Sammy D Violence Prevention Round

July 8th, Round 15 - First Nations Round (NAIDOC Week)

Volleyball South Australia, CEO, Karla Della-Pietra has said "we are very pleased to be partnering with a number of incredible organisations for this year’s SA Volleyball League themed rounds. Education and support around Mental Health, Violence Prevention and Australia's First Peoples are all extremely important. As the peak body for Volleyball in SA, we play an important role in helping keep our community stay informed and safe, and look forward to working with our clubs throughout these rounds."
