Beachside 

The Beachside: Bump'N Spike series offers competition opportunities for anyone interested in joining the best sport in the world (only Recreational Membership required).

Unlike indoor Volleyball competitions, which are played weekly, and SABVS, which requires a commitment over a full day, Beachside Bump'N Spike offers a variety of events throughout the summer to get into Beach Volleyball.

It enables you to pick and choose which dates, competitions or come&tries you would like to nominate in. You do not have to commit to a full season or a full day.

 

Beachside: ''Twilight''

Experience the magic of volleyball as the sun sets over some of South Australia’s most stunning locations, including Glenelg Beach, Henley Beach, Port Noarlunga Beach, and urban facilities like Mawson Lakes.

Beachside Twilight offers competitions for everyone—single-gender or mixed teams are all welcome! While nominations are open until filled, late entries may be possible. If you're interested in joining after nominations close, reach out to competitions@volleyballsa.com.au to check availability.

Beachside: ''Mixed Pairs''

Enjoy summer with the perfect blend of fun and competition! Beachside Mixed Pairs Volleyball is ideal for anyone looking to get into beach volleyball in a flexible, social setting—only a Recreational Membership is required.

Unlike weekly indoor competitions or full-day commitments like SABVS, this series lets you choose the dates and competitions that suit your schedule. No need to commit to a full season or an entire day!

Mixed Pairs Events include:

  • Three Rounds followed by a Final Championship, with no requirement to have played in earlier rounds to join the Championship.
  • A half-day format featuring 25-30 minute timed matches to 15 points per set, typically starting at 10:00 am (unless otherwise stated).
  • Graded divisions: A-Grade and B-Grade for players of all skill levels.

Join us for great matches and even better memories on the sand this summer!

 

Beachside: ''4-A-Side''

Dive into the sand and experience the thrill of beach volleyball with Beachside 4-A-Side! This competition is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy the sport in a flexible, social environment—only a Recreational Membership is required.

Unlike weekly indoor competitions or full-day commitments like SABVS, Beachside 4-A-Side offers the freedom to choose your dates and competitions, with no need to commit to a full season or an entire day.

4-A-Side Events include:

  • Three Rounds leading up to a Final Championship, with no requirement to have participated in earlier rounds to join the Championship.
  • A half-day format featuring 25-30 minutes timed matches to 21 points per set, typically starting at 10:00 am (unless otherwise stated).
  • Divisions for every level: Premier, A-Grade, and B-Grade.

Beachside: ''Pay as you go''

Looking for a flexible and fun way to enjoy beach volleyball? Beachside Pay-As-You-Go at Mawson Lakes offers a casual and inclusive environment for players of all levels—no sign-ups and no prior commitments required!

Details:

  • When: Every Thursday, starting November 21st, with sessions running weekly until December 19th. The program restarts on January 9th.
  • Schedule:
    • 6:00–7:00 pm: Beginner Beach Volleyball training and coaching.
    • 7:00–8:30 pm: Kings of the Court playtime.
  • Cost: $15 per person per evening, covering training and/or Kings playtime.

Perfect for beach volleyball lovers who want to drop in and play on their own terms. Join us for as many sessions as you like and enjoy the game your way!
